Laughter abounds on the golf course, and cultural exchange fosters warmth | A report on the 12th Kunlun Nan'ao Branch Open Tournament

We're serious about having fun.

Under the warm autumn sun and on lush green grass, the 12th Open of the South Australia Chapter of the Queensland Golf Association teed off joyfully at West Lakes Golf Club on February 23! Thirty-two golfers unleashed their passion on the course with a fun "two best balls" format. This golfing extravaganza, where everyone won a prize, created countless exciting moments.

At 11 a.m., the eight teams of players officially began a battle of wits and teamwork in the "best ball" position. Although the temperature was pleasant, the strong winds added a challenge to the competition—the blue tees' long drives combined with the wind made every shot a gamble of skill and luck. However, the players enjoyed it immensely: "The strong winds actually made the game more interesting, and my teammates' 'divine assists' always brought surprises!"“

It is worth mentioning that although this competition does not count towards the points ranking, the contestants still gave it their all, with many groups having a score difference of only 0.25 points, which shows how fierce the competition was.

The biggest surprise of this competition was undoubtedly the appearance of three "mini golfers"—a junior player and two children aged only 10, who swung their clubs with focused, youthful energy and unwavering determination. Despite their young age, they showed no stage fright, competing alongside adult players with encouragement from their parents, becoming a hopeful sight on the course. Nurturing the next generation of players has always been one of Kunlun's important missions. Seeing the light in the children's eyes, we know that the future of Chinese golf in South Australia is sure to be vibrant and enduring.84f52401a15542bef1a582ccccb0b8a.jpg

As a key force in the South Australian Chinese golf community, KunlunAlways committed to promoting multicultural exchange, member Quay Zhang specially invited six local Australian friends to join this event, making it a "borderless" golf party. We were initially worried about the language barrier, but once we picked up the golf clubs, we instantly became comrades! The little white ball rolled across the green, and it also rolled out a series of friendships that transcended cultures.ba9c9fa85543d0587461b8cefce7f7b.jpg

As evening fell, the club's banquet hall was filled with laughter and cheerful conversation. In keeping with the fun competition's theme, the organizing committee specially set up the "Sunshine Award"—the top nine groups of contestants took home prizes, and those who did not win also received exquisite gifts through a lucky draw, truly achieving "a gift for everyone, leaving with a full load."
